Katy Perry, born Kathryn Hudson, is one of the biggest pop stars in the world. She started singing Christian music to appease her evangelical Christian parents, but changed to quirky, racy pop that instantly won over her fans. Her debut album in 2008, “One of the Boys” featured hits like “Ur So Gay” and “I Kissed A Girl” that made her name household famous. From there, Katy’s sounds and looks have changed multiple times in the past decade-plus with every album. She went through a candy-colored wig phase for “California Gurls” and its classic music video. She did black hair and a retro look for her first few tours. And, most recently, she cut her hair off and dyed it platinum blonde for her “Prism” era. Not only did Katy perform halftime for the 2015 Super Bowl, she has a footwear line, her own makeup collection with Covergirl, and is a judge on “American Idol”.
